Nice TR. For the record, the beaches and ocean and Miami did not have the sandbar and clear waters until recently. The city is trying to make the beaches nicer so they added all of this sand post summer 2014. I heard they imported the sand from the Bahamas, not sure how true that last part is.

Interesting. I've always thought Miami Beach sand was awful, even compared to new York. I'll have to go back and see if it's better
If you see something that is 50% off but don't need it, walk away and save yourself 100%

This makes sense as I was recently on the beach and I was going crazy thinking that the beach seemed a lot nicer than I remembered

Ive been there many times, and every time it literally looks different.
2012-Merky water
2013-Merky water
2014-Light blue waters, deep one you walk in a few feet
2015-Light blue waters, short beach area, sandbar up to 100 feet in

What's a sandbar up to 100 feet in mean?

It stays shallow for about 100 feet then the sand starts dropping and it gets deeper

Thanks for all this info after the fact! :P
Re: Chabad. Do you mean they have started construction since June? Because their Shul JLC was very nice and new looking already.
In terms of lunch, I wasn't looking for somewhere to eat out. Did I make it seem like I was? I just pointed out the kindness of the fellow who offered us a dinner meal, but I didn't go in looking for someone to offer meals specifically.
The is JLC and then there is Chabad.
