Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

What's the latest data point on how long it's taking CSR to show the Travel Credit after a qualified purchase?
As soon as it posted for me.

Yea, you have to wait until the charge posts.

Anyone have luck with getting a 100k bonus in branch after 3/11? Didn't do it for DW because I'm bad at MS, but with Radpad back, I figure it might be worth a try...

Wondering if anyone can help me out. I currently have a chase checking account, chase freedom card and a chase ink cash card. I have a credit score in the 800s. I applied back for a chase sapphire reserve card and was denied due to "Previous unsatisfactory relationship with us or one of our affiliates". I pressed for more information and got nowhere. Told to write a letter and never got a response from them. I just applied for a chase business preferred card and it was denied for the same reason.

Has anyone got denied for this reason? Who can I contact to get this resolved?

Not that I know of, but officially, you don't get the credit which means they can theoretically claw it back. You are better off going with a more solid method when the choice is available.

They don't reverse the credit. It's the stupidest thing in the world and I have escalated the same thing (albiet over $30 dispute) as high as I can go to the executive office and they "cannot" reinstate the travel credit

Why would you need to reinstate it?

I got it without a problem from a cancelled flight, seems like if you have the paperwork in order shouldn't be an issue. Would call them and ask exactly what they want and then send.

Why would you need to reinstate it?

Yeah, it's actually a cool benefit. If you cancel a trip, you get whatever refund from the merchant plus the credit. So in theory you could just spend $300 on an Orbitz ticket, cancel within 24 hours, and make the 300 credit. Of course, they could change the policy but that's my experience so far.

Needs to be a covered reason, so get documentation whenever possible (dr note etc).
