Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Reports of a new Chase credit card coming out at the end of August. It's supposed to be a high end card to compete with the Amex Plat.

Its gonna need a lot more than 3x on airfare and a $300-$400 AF to complete with the Plat. That doesn't even compete with the PRG because of the high AF.

It says 3x on travel not just airfare. But this isn't their first rodeo. I like to hope they've thought long and hard about what other benefits are required to compete at that level. I for one welcome a high end UR card.

The extra point on travel (I believe they had an extra point on airfare at one point when booking through the UR mall on the SP) is nice but it doesn't seem to justify a huge AF, but now that DoC updated his post with more information from a source he calls reliable, its seeming more like a legitimate high end card. Although all the details are still pretty sketchy.

I personally love UR and I'd love a 100k signup on a UR card, but sadly it will be a while before I can get past the 5/24 rule so sadly this news isn't really too special to me.

Think they'll have an option for a business card for this?  I love the Ink but spend a lot for business on airfare and other travel expenses and need a better card for those expenses.  Wonder what lounge partnership it will have to compete with Amex and Citi cards.

If it'll be part of the sapphire family, I doubt it. The truth is Chase needs a few more Business credit cards.

The Freedom/Sapphire line is reasonably aligned with the Ink line.

Yeah but if you have a lot of true business expenses the Ink falls short although thanks to DDF I'm now buying SW GCs at Staples and getting 5ppd at least for those flight expenses!

Weird. I thought Visa Infinite was mostly a Canadian product.

City National Bank has a product in the U.S., also available in other countries. Not sure why it's not used more often here.

Yeah though CNB was just bought by a Canadian bank.
Just an odd choice considering USA isn't even an available country on the Visa Infinite website. I always thought Signature was our version of Infinite.

Other than the signup bonus, this isn't something all that different from other products. Like DoC, I'm hoping they add something unique to make it more marketable
