Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

a few posts here mentioned no fee for authorized user on CSR. is this a glitch or truth to this? curious if there have been enough data points to prove it.

anyone recently added an AU and got charged the $75 fee as counter DP?

Well it seems like I missed the boat on getting 100k UR points + triple dip $300 travel credit (totaling $900 in 1 yr)  :'(

Is there any way to get a better offer then the current 50k points + $300 travel credit? Perhaps via a targeted offer, going into bank or other.

I opened the CSR last August, and received the 2016 and 2017 credits. Annual fee is on the current statement. CS says I will be eligible for the 2018 credit after the Dec statement posts. So I am paying 450x2 for 900 in credits minus the prorated AF if I downgrade.

Is it better to just cancel and have 600 in credit for the 450 AF? I also don't have too many points left beside for the 80K that I'm waiting on to post on the INK. I valued the redemption through the portal on the 80K at: 1000 for the INK and 1200 with CSR. So that would be an additional 200 if I keep the CSR.
Did I miss anything here?

Hey- anyone know if i can transfer CSR points to my husband's account? We both opened the reserve last august and I was thinking to downgrade one before the annual fee hits. Not sure there is value in 2 household members with card. Already got the travel credit for 2016 and 2017.

So if your dw didn't change her last name it won't work?

I don't think it's by last name, instead the two people needs to share an address, or AU on the card. If I am wrong on this, please correct me. thanks.
