transfer starpoints into Delta skymiles

I have almost enough Delta miles for tickets to israel and want to transfer some of my starwood points. i noticed that the Starwood site states that it takes 2-4 weeks for the transfer to go through. Does anyone have experience with this regarding what it really takes and any other tips or info regarding this? thanks for any help

Most American transfers take much less. I just had a European transfer go through in 4 days and they said up to 30 days. My continental transfers went in minutes. Good Luck.

I didnt end up going to Israel at the time so I didnt transfer the points.
