I received a letter from Chase stating the following: "After reviewing your account, we noticed that you may have transferred some of your Chase Ultimate Rewards points to an ineligible user. As a result, we suspended your ability to transfer points." The letter goes on to say that they will lift the suspension if I send them certain documents proving that the person I transferred my points to lives at the same address as I do. This doesn't sound so bad but then the letter ends off: "If we do not receive the requested documents within 30 days from the date of this letter, or if there is any misrepresentation, we may close this and any other accounts you have with us."

I did sell some points. Now what can I do to save my accounts? Will they actually shut me down? Will I be blacklisted? Should I fess up and beg them to keep my accounts opened or just wait and hope they will leave my accounts opened? Help!

Not sure. I sold the points to a travel agent.

Contact the point broker...this likely isn't the first time this has happened to them - I don't have any specific DP's but I remember reading somewhere they have a system in place to try and protect you from account shutdown

Can't you get that guy to change an address on a bank account, print out a statement or transaction list, send it to you, send it to Chase and change it back?

Someone once reported here that they contacted chase with an apology or something and that seemed to have helped them but obviously YMMV

Received a similar letter from Chase reg. my BUSINESS card.
The point is that it's a BUSINESS card and my transfer was to an associate who is outside of the country. Should I contact them to explain this? Will they demand any other documents?

If you can show that he's a co-owner of the business you should be fine IINM

Its a non profit. Did anyone have a similar experience with Chase?

What position does he hold in the company?

Just an affiliate. Not a board member.

Make him a board member or whatever a controlling position would be and then send documentation to chase.
