Do you believe this person did this based on race? If these zipcodes are where she claims her biggest losses came from had majority Asian people she would not have done the same thing?
What I am getting at is this. I have an internet business and notice most of my returns are coming from certain zipcodes. I put restrictions on those zipcodes. That is illegal based on race when I am not even aware of the makeup of the zipcodes.
As you have seen it is never clear cut, I wouldn't call someone a racist without knowing their intentions.
I'll leave that up for the courts. I think that it's a good thing that there are laws against it. It isn't a valid excuse to say that you're losing money from that zip code, because why are you punishing the honest people along with the dishonest? Do we want minorities to face more challenges than other Americans because they live in worse neighborhoods? The laws were started because a lot of blacks were discriminated by banks despite having good income and being considered low risk. It is a real problem that needed to be fixed. If you wanna treat people differently, then single out the offenders based on abuse and not based on geography.
