REVIVE THE FLIP PHONE
« on: September 04, 2016, 08:33:08 PM »
Am I the only one around who wants to ditch my smartphone?

I have a computer at work, and aside from needing my contacts and calendar events alerts every now and then, I don't want anything else in my pocket.

Does anyone know of a flip phone that can manually import calendar events from CSV?

+1 IMHO such a device could sell very well
But I would say it should have One feature namely it should sync contacts and calendar with google

I think tag etc. Should invest in something like this shouldn't be too complicated any existing feature phone could handle it with some Java coding

If TAG markets it it'll be a flop. Needs irreligious imo. Also whatsapp. And tapatalk.

These kind are already available, they are called "smartphones", the discussion here is that people want "plain" flip phone & should have nothing more then a flip phone has nowadays, just they want that the info that is already there should be synced to google, but they don't want any new features or apps.

When making the manufacturing decision, please count me as a customer.

PS I have sprint service, so please make a sprint version. (If ever manufactured it wont be available for sprint or Verizon, as with the stupid CDMA system that the devices need to be specific for the carrier, so even if %1 of the market wants such a phone ita not worthwhile to invest in a carrier specific for this model, but %1 of the the GSM that is most of the world, there the %1 is a much bigger number & its worthwhile to produce for that %1)

be conservative in what you do, be liberal in what you accept from others.

+1000000000
Though I would add some kind of a QWERTY keyboard as well as multilingual capabilities. I actually got a Nokia E72, which could have been a compromise that I might be happy with for myself if I could remove some unnecessary bloatware and have it working smoothly.

With you in mind  ;) Compare
These are nothing new, these are regular smart phones that are supposed to look like flip phones, but they are so big that no one mistakes them for flip.

Lol. Remember when you had to press each key 2/3 times until you got to the right letter?
If you don't care why would you comment?
