Air France problem
« on: September 06, 2016, 09:16:23 AM »
Didn't know what thread to put this in. Basically, my friend was supposed to be on a flight yesterday from Lax to Tlv on air France. He got to the airport and they told him that since he's on a one way ticket, even though he has a visa, since he's not an Israeli citizen, he can't fly. So they didn't let him on. So he called air France and they agreed to change his flight to today. He's has his new itinerary but he's scared that they won't let him on again. Anyone know what to do? Anyone ever heard of such a policy? Tia

Book a refundable ticket that he can cancel after he arrives safely in Israel.

Priceline works great for this.

He needs a return ticket.
Why can't he just go on a one way ticket?

I just flew on a one way ticket to Tel Aviv with Alitalia.  They did ask when I planned on returning. I gave them a (made up) date.  No issues.

The point in a visa is that you are permitted  to stay for a short while...
So, it makes sense that they required proof of return, still weird but wtvr.

Either way, you can have a TA make a reservation and that will work(don't have to ticket )
If u work for a living, why kill urself working?
