iOS 10
« on: September 13, 2016, 04:34:49 PM »
iOS 10 was released this afternoon.
From what I experienced so far, I would recommend everyone hold off from downloading it unless you test it and like it.

Mail is atrocious, messages is cluttered, and I don't see anything special worth updating for.

HELP!!! How can I get banners grouped by the app like in iOS 9?

Phone doesn't enter the home page just by tapping the finger prints... May be good if you wanna read and don't want to lose it

I hate it as well.

you can change that
Unlocking your phone works totally different than it used to. “Slide to Unlock” is gone and will likely never return, and now you’re also required to actually press the Home button to unlock your phone. If you miss being able to just rest your finger on the Touch ID-enabled Home button to unlock it, you can bring that back:

Head to Settings > General > Accessibility > Home Button.
Enable Rest Finger to Unlock.
Your phone will now unlock when you rest your finger on the Home button, no press of the button required.

I must add that they added a view option to see the message without entering the app

Thanks, yesterday I went through all the settings but couldn't find that option.

Seems like it, the cluttered messages and notifications are an android special.

They fixed the issue yesterday,

I like the way it predicts emojis from your text;
Night shift is cool, but no idea if it's really helpful;
A couple nice whatsapp features in its update for ios 10 (like forwarding media directly in the chat);
I don't find messages cluttered, but the digital touch messaging isn't really something I'd use frequently enough to make it exciting for me.

I like the new os in general but they took away the feature that allowed to delete an entire inbox by selecting edit > trash, now the trash button is only hot when you select at least one email
