Not sure where the link is but when I enrolled I thought it would cost more to get both and it was half price (not sure how or why but I'm not complaining).
Amex still credited the full $100 that GE costs when enrolled w/o nexus.

Apparently, there was a glitch back then that is no longer available.

I'm still waiting for the link from netzih.

AMEX killed the trick of enrolling in GE+Nexus for $50 and getting back $100.

$50 charges now need to be manually reimbursed and you'll only get $50.
As I UA Plat though I was reimbursed by AMEX and UA.

Enrolling in GE+Nexus for $50 was a loophole that had nothing to do with AmEx AFAIK, it had to do with a loophole in the Customs systems.

The AmEx trick was applying for ONLY Nexus for $50, and then having AmEx credit you for $100.

Am I wrong?

Even if this program would cost $200 I would still recommend it for someone that does trips like nyc-yyz frequently

Who said the customs glitch was closed?  I applied not long ago on the trusted traveler site for nexus+ge for $50.

The AMEX loophole used to give $100 back for that, but that's been closed.

When asked which programs you want to enroll just click nexus and ge (and whatever other programs based on the countries you visited it will tell you right away if its more than the standard price) and its $50

In yyz not only do you get to bypass the customs line, you also get a special nexus security line. Saved me over 6 hours in the last 6-8 months.
