Keep Mac or switch to PC
« on: September 21, 2016, 01:58:21 PM »
I'm currently running on a Winter 2011 MacBook Pro 13", 8 GB RAM, 500 GB SSD, Intel i5 processor.

Spent $1,200 on it back then, plus another $200 on the SSD and RAM over a year ago.

It basically runs fine, but Microsoft applications aren't the greatest to work with.

Being that there's a 30% off PC sale today on Amazon, should I go for a PC?

It very much depends on your use, if you mainly only use it for Microsoft applications then you really don't need a Mac.

If you're looking to get rid of your Macbook, I'll gladly take it off your hands :P. I've been wanting to start programming for iOS for a long time, but I'm finding it very hard to justify the price...

I have a MacBook Air late 2015. Is there anyway to completely wipe it and rub it as a regular windows computer ? Will it work well ?

I don't think you can do it with "completely wiping", but should work fine with Boot Camp https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204990
