Why would you want to turn the no-fly zones off?
1. There's a tremendous amount of outdated information in these databases.
2. Places that have only temporary restrictions are blocked out by the system all the time, even when flight is allowed by the FAA. For example, sports stadiums outside of game time and an hour before or after.
3. Flying out of the country, where FAA exemptions procedures are impossible.
In short, I don't want a drone in violation of the second law of robotics
. If I tell my drone to take off, it had better do just that. I
will be the one who decides where it can and cannot fly, in accordance with the FAA's rules. And yes, I will be getting my 107 so I will actually know how and be licensed to do all that.
