Awards seem bookable now, have not heard any experiences booking via AS yet.
Surprising to me how few premium economy seats on the A350 relative to the number of business and economy seats.

Where are you seeing availability? I don't see any award seats in the BA website for non-stop flights.

Asiamiles.com, other people reporting seeing on quantas.com and AA phone agents seeing it

Is the best redemption AS followed by AA or is there anything better than AA?

Availibilty is quite poor for now - max 2 seats either in biz OR coach and that too is only on several flights

Do I need to a.) open an account with them and/or b.) put miles in to make it active so search on their website? Also, I might try to call Alaska to see what availbility they show because I know bloggers have posted before that however many Cathay seats are showing in BA.com, Alaska agents always see one less seat, so I'm wondering they are only showing one seat instead of two.

AS is I think best with 62.5k to Israel and they allow a HKG stopover even if you only do a one way ticket.
