That would be incredible if they did, I'm trying to plan an Asia trip so if I could finish it off with a stop in Israel, that would be amazing.

Me too...B"H I'm going to call AS tomorrow and see what they will allow.  Another thing to consider if you are wanting to go to HKG and a whole round the world return, you can fly direct to the Maldives from there on CX for only 12.5k Avios and MLE-TLV for only 35k on Turkish in J with UA miles. So for just a few more miles than HKG-TLV direct you could add in the Maldives. I don't have enough time on my trip and it would be too many stops with my kids but it's something to think about.

good to know, thanks. I don't think I'm going to do MLE though, hotels are too costly  :)

Do you have an update on AS? Also is HKG-MLE on CX for 12.5 Avios in J or Y?

I was wrong about starting in HKG and stopping over in TLV with Alaska because the mileage would go up if not all your legs are on CX.  It's 12.5K Avios to MLE from HKG in Y, 37.5k in J and they consistently have two J seats open on every flight.

Is availability on QF accurate in regards to what AS sees?

I read somewhere that AS sees one less seat but I think that was F.
J should be the same.

Yeah Lucky did a post on seeing one less seat.  Not sure what QF sees but I called AS and she could see all the seats available from CX (Lax-hkg-tlv) as long as they search by individual segment.  Even CX website didn't show J seats when searching from US, only if you search HKG-TLV separately.

So in my case that would be negative 1.
Have more than 2 seats ever been released on the TLV leg?

I don't think so, they released two on almost every flight when they launched it and they got snapped up really quickly.

No. HKG-NYC.
Route is TLV-HKG-NYC.

J, CX doesn't have an F class on their A350s.

They always release 4 seats but only 2 in J and 2 in Premium Economy.

It does if you want all in J or F but actually to have 2 seats on every flight is pretty good and they have such good J and F availability from the US-HKG.  I'm still planning to book this way because with Dan's new hiddush of transferring SPG to Virgin and then to Alaska, I can get from Den-TLV, with the Shabbos stopover in HKG for only 38k SPG...at that price, my kids can sit in Premium economy for the last leg!  :P
