Change to amex charge card payment due date

Is amex changing the pay by date on charge cards ? Till now I was able to pay till the next statement closing date, On my latest amex biz gold  card statement it says starting January statement will have to be paid by the pay by date otherwise they will incur a late fee.

Thanx, haven't seen it, but I do think it is an important change that deserves It's own thread so it gets seen.

Was charged interest last week (everyday). Called them up and this guy claimed it was ""always"" due by the due date and not on the closing date.

sounds like in 2017 they are going to get rid of the please pay by date and replace with a due date.

I dont think that is the case.

Amex says that starting in Jan 2017 you need to pay by the payment due date listed on the statement as opposed to the next closing date.

Sounds like they are going to start putting a due date instead of a pay by date.
