Typically not, unless they're authorized users check the policy for your card

Like mentioned. They may have to be added as an authorized User for them to utilize the perks. Skim through the fine print of that specific card you want to use and you'll see the exact wording and details.

Little old. But covers your question. So in short. Find the t&c and do your homework.

And if you want to say your freind is family or your nephew or brother in law that's up to you.

As well seems to make a difference of its travel insurance for a delay and or its for cancelation of the trip.

 But yes, easiest is to add an AU. You'll get his pre-approved cc applications and have him show up on your credit report if you gave his real info(then again no address or ss it may just be a random name attached to your address. But that's a personal preference if that bothers you enough not to do it for him.
