T-mobile Digits
« on: December 07, 2016, 02:49:31 PM »
Finally you can have multiple devices with one number, or multiple numbers on one device.

It will work on the cellular network, as opposed to Google Voice etc. that uses the data to be able to have multiple numbers, meaning that this will work even in places that you can only have 2G.

In other words, T-Mobile is untying the link between devices & numbers.

Great for yeshiva buchor, one number two phones (one kosher, one not).

As well for the people (very common within the ultra-frum communities) that use a simple phone for personal use and a smartphone only for business needs.

If you have T-Mobile you could always have had a phone with multiple sim slots.  But it will be interesting for using other carrier numbers as well.

Seems that they both need to be smartphones.

T-Mobile claims that it also works on feature phones. (For example see their promo video)

I got accepted for beta and apparently it's not offering that yet I guess. Is there a specific Twitter account for divers?

That's part of the experience of being a beta-tester. Report it.

FWIU you'd be able to use this overseas even if you have a local (non american) sim in your phone. No more need for call forwarding or getting an american num.

How would that work?
