Ive been in Norway, but only flown via OSL.

You should find plenty of Radisson Blu hotels, which are very decent but expensive.

Know that they are very anti israel (jews).

Also, the country is abnormaly expensive.

Nature is beautiful though.

Oslo is far from the fjords.

How much time do you give yourself to visit the fjords?

If we are talking about the summer, if possible try having your stop in Stavanger.

A quick search on google images will explain why.

Can anyone recommend a transfer service from OSL to RYG?
I am flying into OSL on Norwegian Air and flying out of RYG on Ryan Air. It seems like public transpo is generally a viable option I however only have 2:40 between flights.

i am not going to do this route. I would have to get from gate to gate in 2:20. That means I need to land on time, clear customs, take an hour cab, clear security, and arrive at my gate within that time.Too risky.

During the daytime flytoget is very often, every 10-15 minutes during the day, but cost some 160-200NOK (some $15+ USD at current exchange rates) each direction.

No way. It would probably take at least 1 1/4 hours, even if no traffic. It's a long way. There can be traffic coming into Oslo at certain time of the day, and if your incoming flight is even a few minutes late you're up the creek. Also be ready for the taxi fare - last year I missed the last train once and it ended up costing me (well, my company..) around $250 for the 25 minute run into Oslo...

I concur
The taxi to Rygga would cost around $110. However if my inbound is delayed, there is a long line at customs, or traffic I am toast.

The other issue you have is that Ryanair at RYG isn't going to be nice to you if you're late or miss your flight. When I posted uptrhead I didn't read everything that was written, having read you'd only have 2:40 I'd say you don't have enough time. At least Norwegian is more on schedule than they used to be when they just launched this route.
