if over maybe new strategy would be to keep yourself under 5/24 by applying for certain business cards only and have DW or another family member go for all of the others and he/she would give up on the chase 5/24 cards
Doesn't add up . Much rather give up chase

Confirmed that this card comes with a UA club membership only for the primary cardholder.
Don't know why this is not in the advertised benefits.

UA probably doesn't want it known.

You would give up 2 years of other banks cc, to apply for a chase card ?!
For all you know you'd only get 1-2 chase cards approved eitherway, or maybe even Nada.

here is my thinking:

1) I would not be giving up on certain business cards
2) as stated many of us have DW to apply for all other consumer cards so we are not really giving up on those either
3) As long as you are under 5/24 there have been may success stories with 3 or 4 BM so i am not sure why you think you would only get approved for 1-2 cards or "maybe nada"?

Look how valuable the Reserve card is and what we went through to get it.  Chase has some of the best cards

2. not a reason... you want the best strategy for each ssn. a strategy is either optimal for both or neither.
3. this game is always ymmv. what if you find out after 24 months that chase switched to amex 1x per lifetime policy?

I assumed JayWhy was over 5/24. Guess we'll need to wait for confirmation.

Didn't work for me, but I only called 2-3 times. And I don't have a banker despite my account status.

I hear your point #2 but I value chase cards much more than others
regarding #3 I don't agree.   I don't think we should strategize for what if's.  And even if that became true so what I gave up on a few cards? not the end of the world.

2) like redbull13 said, that doesn't really help much.
3) The fact that you don't know what will be in 2 years for now negates that reasoning.
In addition, why would you leave hundreds of thousands of points, plus actual money that one can get from cards, just to wait to TRY to get a couple of chase cards ?!?

Life is as good as you make it...

2. The best strategy is to work in conjunction and be strategic as to whether or not to do the same thing for each social

You've almost convinced me to move my $10mm over to chase.

You can get it with $250K.

Some people have gotten it with even less.
