CC and Bank Accounts in Israel?

First they tried closing all foreign accounts without 50k, when the government stopped them I guess they decided they will do the slumlord move and make life hell so you leave on your own. I don't want to go to TLV every time I need to bank.

My daughter, israeli citizen had student account.  Now out of school fees are high.  She is at leumi.  She also has about 100 k. sh. to put away for a year or less but offering her about .1 percent interest.  Any suggestions on banks offering higher rates she can move her account to.

Invest the money somewhere else. Many Israelis I speak to say it's never worth keeping the money in the banks here

Post Office Bank will open you an account with a passport (plus the IRS forms! but it is not the topic here) and almost no fees.

Have you had to fill out the tax forms before you opened the account ir were they just handed to you to return whenever ?

had a freind with the same issue two days ago and yesterday .  personally i had no issues . looks like co360 is cracking down on us hehe. i hope not though

I know the news and I know you don't have a smartphone . If you need to deposit checks follow danH advice. I myself have been using private tunnel on mobile with no issues BH (and I max out my deposits every month across three accounts)

Just checked my account I have a daily limit of  25k

My 360 account has a daily limit of 50 - way more than I ever need.

(Chase X3 100k each but I don't do that much or even close to it)

I know my limit kept on growing until recently when I saw 50k/check but I checked now and it's down to 5/day. I have no idea why my limit was decreased. On Chase my limit rose to 5k/day, 15k/month.

When your checks are ready the next day , you can take out 1k a day and have unlimited p2p per a day (bde) that you can send others and take out from their accounts , some checks bounce etc .. I'm sure your imagination can take over with these possibilities . I won't talk about it on an open forum

I've always been very cautious with the way I use it. I even try to avoid calling customer service if at all possible. I've seen too many people have their accounts closed for no good reason.

I was never too heavy on the system. Not more than a few thousand a month. I very infrequently use their ATM card.
