GPS Nuvi 760
« on: June 03, 2008, 10:37:04 AM »
Dan-
Is it worth it to buy the Nuvi 760 now or wait until the holiday season at the end of the year?
I have nothing witty to write here....

Based on the current trend I would say don't buy any GPS until you need it.

Any opinions on the Whistler Wgpx-635  GPS. I was offered it for $100 and it gord on Amazon for $300. Is that a good deal? The only review on Amazon is negative. I'm asking if nyone here has any other opinions regarding it? Thanks

Depends what your looking for. 1saleaday has one for $60, if you want something decent costco usually has good deals on garmins. Id suggest going for something with lifetime map updates.

the Garmin nüvi 1300LM 4.3-Inch Portable GPS Navigator with Lifetime Map Updates would be less than $100. Can someone advise me if this is a good deal or if there is something else out there that's better; ready to spend up to $150. Thanks!

IT doesn't seem like this has been discussed on the forums recently.  Can recommend which gps I should get? I am looking for one on the cheaper side I don't care about extras, just want the most accurate, quickest to calculate, recalculate, choose fastest route, etc...

I always get the Garmin. FYI, if you buy it at Costco, you can return it when a new one comes out and then get the new, usually for less money. BTW, I asked them  if they have a problem with that (like some people do with air conditioners from Walmart just for the summer) and they said it's their policy to take returns anytime even without a valid reason. They also said that they may eventually go the same route as computers where it's only, I believe, six months. But meanwhile, it's anytime. I can't tell you whetehr it's "cheap" or not, but it works great. Even got a map for Israel when I went there (since then stolen). It was cheaper than taking a GPS in the car.
