Toronto:

The Jewish community is broken up in to three main areas
1. "Down South" which is in the area of Bathurst and Lawrence
2. Clanton Park which is a little further north around Bathurst and Sheppard
3. Thornhill which is even further north @ Clark and Bathurst

Downtown, without any traffic is 25 from down south, 30 minutes from clanton park and 35 minutes from Thornhill. Expect those numbers to almost double during rush hour.

Which hotel is better?

Sheraton Fallsview

or

Sheraton on the falls

One is next to the rainbow bridge the other is closer to the canadian falls.

Did anyone try both out?

I loved the Fallsview when I stayed there. Really comfortable pillows that are available for purchase, and really nice view if you get it.

I booked a room there... What is the best way to go about getting a upgrade? Should I call before or just rely on when I get there?
