Looking for a new TV? If not, you can buy a bluetooth adapter to plug into the sound output or aux jack and then connect that adapter to your headphones.

Something similar to this.

you could always buy a dongle I'm just not sure if it would need to be disconnected every time you wanted the speakers only.
that would be dreadful.

Nice but I would need a adapter for the TV to match the plugs.

Your TV does not have a simple 3.5 mm port?

To be angry indeed!...

You need something like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B011O0N0UQ/?tag=cl03f-20&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER, or something straight from your port to Bluetooth like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QV77YIC/?tag=cl03f-20&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
