Any reports of that? Can more than one person in a household not open an GE trial?
So would you need to give a different Costco membership number? I guess that can work one more time, as Costco assigns different numbers to household members, but once that runs out...
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

I am on my 2nd trial membership using the same costco membership number. But after this I think I am done. Not going to create google accounts just for this

DW is the one that said it's worth $95 to avoid trips (I think if it avoids 10 trips a year, and probably even avoiding 6 trips a year makes it worthwhile). But more and more I get annoyed by not being able to get what I need, and having to make the trips anyways.
The question is if you could order that stuff from amazon/walmart/target.com. It may cost you a little more than at costco, but will it be $95 more?

With GE I get 1-2 day delivery. I can't guarantee that with Target (though I do shop Target for certain items such as baby wipes, baby shampoo, and occasionally other items). Also certain Kirkland brand items and pantry items are excellent value (combination of quality and price).

Though with Target I could do same day pickup if I need something urgently. Can also stack subscription and redcard discounts for some extra savings - and even get same day pickup for first shipment.

Yup! I started doing target subscriptions for things like paper towels, tissues, and it's very convenient (once you figure out exactly how often you need everything).

I don't see why that matters. Now that we know that they did it for the Pixel, anything is possible. They are charging $95 for their service, so I would imagine that thye would try to stop ppl from cheating them of that fee.

Toilet paper, napkins, etc. is where I find excellent value at Costco. I like the quality of the Kirkland brand and the price is good.

I actually prefer the Target Up&Up baby wipes, and the price is cheaper even without any special sales or discounts. That gets better when there are sales, gift cards for purchases etc.

Costco doesn't carry the Johnson's Baby Shampoo (especially not the Lavender) - Target is usually the best place to get that, and last week they had 20% off which I stacked with a subscription and RedCard to stock up for a while. Adult shampoo I still have some from the last sale at Target, otherwise I get some at Amazon or Costco on sale.

I don't know about availability through GE, in the Brooklyn warehouse you can get them. GE ships to Brooklyn from a Costco warehouse in MA.

Google Express memberships are ending in favor of per-store minimums for free delivery

Hi there,

Google Express continues to evolve and expand. Several new stores, including Hayneedle, VMInnovations, and Factory Direct Craft arrange their own deliveries and returns (learn more). In addition, the introduction of Walmart in September will bring a wider selection for your shopping needs.

Express memberships have been discontinued. Starting today, you'll get free delivery when you meet the per-store order minimum ($25 or $35 for most stores). This means you won't have to place a certain number of orders monthly or yearly to make a membership fee worthwhile.

Since you're still in your free trial, you don't need to do anything. You simply won't get charged for membership, and can get back to shopping as usual.

You'll also be asked to accept new Terms of Service at checkout. Some of the changes include:

•   Most of your orders are protected when shopping with Google Express. Learn more about purchase protection.
•   Some stores may apply their own return policies rather than the Google Express policy. This means you can send your return directly to the store.

Thank you for being a member with us -- we hope you enjoy the broader choices and free delivery options.

Get in touch with any questions by clicking "Get Help" below.

Thank you,

The Google Express team

RIP Google Express.

$35 fee at Costco was bad enough, now prices are also higher and bigger items aren't available (Poland Spring) at least in my part of NYC just since Wednesday.

20% off an order (or a few orders) at Walmart isn't nearly going to make up for it.

Was nice while it lasted. Will now have to rely on Prime Now and Amazon Fresh.
