Just received a stop & shop order that had a price adjustment (in my favor).

Any way of figuring out what it's about (so we can maybe replicate.

They gave me a $10 coupon which was applied to this S&S order, but it also has a price adjustment of just under $10, so actual CC charge for this order was less than $6

$35 fee at Costco was bad enough, now prices are also higher and bigger items aren't available (Poland Spring) at least in my part of NYC just since Wednesday.

20% off an order (or a few orders) at Walmart isn't nearly going to make up for it.

Was nice while it lasted. Will now have to rely on Prime Now and Amazon Fresh.

It came back in NYC for a couple days the week before last, but it's so inconsistent as to be useless for water/paper towel delivery.

Not sure if this was mentioned before, but just a little PSA regarding the Amex offer:

Google doesn't know the final price until after they ship the merchandise from the merchant. The final price is only estimated. I checked out with a Walmart order of $51 and change, and they ended up only charging $47, falling $3 short of activating the offer. So far Amex has refused to honor it, but I will try again. (The spend can be done over multiple orders, but there is no option to make an order for just $3).

Something to keep in mind.

Some items were perishables like cereal etc that were already opened. Interestingly, Google was very nice about this and gave me a $10 promo code to work against the shipping fees so that I can make a small order to activate the offer!

I spoke to a rep at Amex who seemed very knowledgeable who told me that there is very strict corporate policy about making any adjustments toward these offers because if they make an adjustment for one customer they have to make for others, and apparently they have been sued in the past over this... go figure.
