I just called a regular Hilton hotel reservation line to speak about an upcoming reservation. When I was done the call he said I have the opportunity to get transferred to the Hilton Grand Vacation team for great discounts. Also, even if i don't want the deal I get 500 points just for listening.
I'm cant vouch for it for being legit but I went for it and the vacation she offered me was pretty good deal. I still didnt receive the confirmation email but she gave me a confirmation number.
If this is real, it is a great deal.
Whilst on the phone, if you are somewhat hesitant about the price she will throw in a $200 hilton gift card , so remember that before confirming

I think random callers get selected for it when calling a reservation line.

I called the regular hilton reservation number and got transferred from there.
I got a 4 day stay in any Orlando Resort with an upgrade for $199. Then they gave me the $200 gift card for a future stay.

No
I'm reading more and more online about these 'timeshare' scams.
Most ppl seem to be going crazy about the fact that they convinced them to buy a timeshare thing. I wont fall for that. Is there anything else to worry about?

I saw the 500 points in my account when I put down the phone.

Have a family member who's gone to the Hilton Grand vacations in Orlando a few times. It's a beautiful place.

I have heard of them and used them. The only negative is the 2 hr sales talk they make you sit through. Occasionally you can get out of that also.
Almost every hotel chain has the same program. Hyatt, IHG, Hilton.....

Not really.  If you can be strong and not cave in to pressure AND you don't mind listening to the two hour shpeel AND you get the GCs, then it is a free vacation for 3-4 days!   Just ask about the fine print to make sure there is no extra fees.

Just bought a Hilton grand vacations for Orlando and regretted it a few weeks later when I realized that I wouldn't be able to go the whole yr so I called them back up and told them some story how my son went behind my back without my consent and used my cc to book the hotel without asking etc the rep came back on the line moments later and said okay you'll see a refund within 3 to 5 days

So you outwardly lied and claimed fraud?
Either way they will push it off more than a year if you want plus will make it a nice moneymaker if you negotiate enough.

I booked a similar package when I was staying at Hilton Midtown New York. 3-day/2-Night stay—just $299, it is a really good deal. There are no blackout dates and no additional fees. You can come back to New York within next 18 months, all they want you to do is attend a presentation which you can schedule it early in the morning and get your breakfast out of the way as well. I booked it through a representative who was in working in the lobby, I have his email if you wish to book the same package serhat.cakmak (at) hgv.com.
