I do not want to say something as a straight halacha which someone who trusts me may rely upon in a way which was never meant.

Most reasonable people shouldn't take DDF posts, even from a distinguished member such as yourself, as a Halachic ruling.

I see it like Lubavitchers getting smicha before getting married, it's not in order to be a Rabbi, it's in order to have a proper awareness and to know how to ask a שאלה.

The only times I went through it were for various levels of tzorech gadol where we relied on some shitos which are a machlokes but we normally don't rely on them. I never actually measured for stam walking yet. From a quick glance it looks close. If you have a specific tzorech you can PM me.

AFAIK there is no walkway on the bridge that is open to the public. So whats the purpose of this exercise?

Sometimes people get driven for various reasons. It would be a goy driving but they themselves would be going out of the tchum. That has ramifications for what they can bring with them and where they can go at the designation as well

You can go out for that. Also there is what to rely on in such a case. Eruv wouldn't help if not. This is all of it is too far overall. It may be fine I just didn't measure well enough for lichatchila
