The gemara in Beitza says that a person's parnassa is determined on Rosh Hashana.
The question I was thinking of, is suppose you have an option to pay your employee a higher or a lower salary, and you choose to be nice and give him a little more (the higher end), will you lose out or not?
In other words, if you give him 5k more, will you not lose out because you will just earn 5k more in business to offset it, since your bottom line parnassa was determined on Rosh Hashana, OR does the fact that you decided to give him the 5k more end up going to come out of what was determined for you on Rosh Hashana, and if you choose to give him the 5k more it will come out of your earnings?
Has anyone ever asked such a question from a rav?
