Flying to TLV with miles - What is the best option?
« on: February 28, 2017, 12:20:27 AM »
I am looking to fly NYC to TLV around june 28 until July 11 (I am flexible with dates)
I have the following miles:
AMEX (business platinum) 250k
Chase (Sapphire Reserve) 250k
Flying Blue - 200k

What do you suggest using for 4 tickets on a non stop flight? Which airline do you recommend and what is the best deal with points?

PS - I posted on the thread but was not able to get any answers

Almost certainly won't find award tickets. If flying economy book with points would prob be best option.

if business platinum airline is united delta or elal use that airline. 250 should get you two tickets wait a day you should get 50% points back, then get the other two but you might have to pay a little.
or for the other one or two book same flight with chase.

Was the NYC-TLV route in J always impossible to get for nonstop or is it more a dansdeals effect?

How should I book with points? I have 250k on each card (Amex bus. platinum and reserve)
I only see 1,400$ tickets with El-AL btw.

Trying to help friends book 7 tickets for their family to go to israel for sukkos. They have ~650K amex bp (+250K Chase UR) but the only options I see right now have horrible flight times and/or long layovers. Any suggestions?

Where would I have a chance of finding award tickets?
