My Dad is 82, and his long time "girlfriend" is in her mid-70's. They take 3-4 trips a year to Mexico, Costa Rica, Nicaragua or wherever else.
Lately, they obviously are both experiencing more and more health issues.
I am looking for a credit card that offers trip cancellation insurance in case one of them gets sick and they have to cancel the trip or delay the return home. Hopefully an AF will be cheaper than just paying for trip insurance every time.
The sticky factor is they do not live together, so they do not meet the "domestic partner" requirement that seems to be common with all of the cancellation/interruption policies I see. (Unless I am reading these threads wrong). And they do not really want to lie and claim a domestic partnership that doesn't exist by legal standards.
Is there a credit card that when party A makes a reservation for 2 or more people, that the trip cancellation benefits extend to everyone on the reservation regardless of the immediate family/domestic partner requirements?
TIA
