American Airlines Cheapest Vacation Flights from NYC?

Hey,

I have a $100 gift certificate from AA and want to use it in the next couple months to go from NYC to someplace warm/tropical/ with beaches.

The times I've checked AA's flights to Mexico, DR etc all the obvious, close destinations the flights have always been several hundred round trip. Is there a cheap destination I'm not aware of that I can use my $100 credit on that justifies flying AA?
