Get a Google Fi phone and plan. Great for an extra Whatsapp number, great for traveling abroad.
Why would I want to do that?

I'm not looking for another monthly plan. GV costs me $0 and works just fine. When I go to Israel, I pop in a Golan SIM card.

All I want at this point is to be able to use my business number to communicate with clients also via WhatsApp from my office (rather than communicating with them on my personal line). If WhatsApp would wouldn't require a telephone in order to remain active on a desktop, I wouldn't even be having this discussion.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

What about an android emulator?
Could you point me in a direction to get whatsapp up an running that way. Hopefully there's one that doesn't hog system resources.

Thanks. I googled it and just watched a YouTube video showing 3 alternatives. Andy seemed like the easiest/quickest/least steps. I am a bit of a techie, so I'm not really afraid of extra steps, if there's a significant benefit (using less system resources). Do you know which will use the least?

What makes it better?

All I'm interested at this point is WhatsApp (though if there was a way to get mobile deposit on some bank apps, that might also be a usage I would be interested in).

What makes it better?
I found it much easier to use on a PC. it has windows just like a PC OS, and it is much more optimized for usability with a mouse.

Beside the point that Andy recently started pushing pretty aggressive crap/adware while downloading and installing it.

Do the android emulators allow access to the pc filesystem and clipboard, so I can easily send attachments?

Speaking of Google Fi, do you have a refferal link?

Each of them is different and has workarounds, but I don't think any of them have a seamless integration.

The problem is  that it doesn't have  Verizon. There are areas ( especially upstate NY) that Verizon is the only one with 4G
