The only thing I can do now is side load the app from an apk file, and use the android version.(it will work on the BlackBerry but works so much slower, it does support video calling and some other stuff which the BlackBerry version didn't have, but the speed stinks.

Why dont you just update the app?

Thanks a million, whats app is back up for me, updated the app in the BlackBerry world and now works better then before, don't have an error message popping up every time I open the app, and flooded with all my messages since last night.
Seems that they decided to extend what's app for a bit longer so updated the app so it shouldnt give you error messages for another while.
Thanks again for your help.(just didn't think to update the what's app, thought that was the cause.)

Your welcome. Whatsapp since day 1 has required the user to update the app once in 60 days

Don't know if it was like that for BlackBerry users as well?

Friend of mine with Nokia Symbian phone, WhatsApp stopped working for him, so he turned the date back a couple of years (in phone settings) and it's working again.
Seemingly the app only expires by the date set in the phone so it's easy manipulated. Might work for the others as well like Blackberry etc.

This will only work for a limited time until wa kills the server. be smart back it up

You would be able to if you can verify your mobile number, you could take your sim(assuming it's t-mobile) and plug it into any random phone and get a confirmation text from your what's app and then plug that number in the new phone your trying to use with wifi.
(but I assume the new phone with wifi is not T-mobile or the sim is not t-mobile otherwise you would be able to pop the sim in this phone).
