Speeding on the Palisades
« on: March 15, 2017, 03:45:21 PM »
The speed limit up to Monsey is 50 mph, which is pretty ridiculous. Cops there are also the worst.

Go with the flow
You get a nasty ticket if pulled over going 35 over.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

There aren't too many places for them to hide, and IINM they all have no U-turn signs (if they're on the shoulder and you can't see them there's a problem)

Sunday before Purim I got ticket.
He claims passenger In back seat wasn't wearing seat belt.
he asked me how fast I was going, I said 58 he gave me speeding ticket.
2 tickets.
He was on side giving 1 person a ticket.
After he left me, he pulled over 3rd person.

-1 They sometimes hide on the grass among the trees.

Maybe we should start a petition somewhere to get the speed limit changed?

I think it's insane that the speed limit is 50MPH on a highway where you barely have traffic, & most of the times you feel like it should be a 60-65MPH zone (& be able to drive 70-75MPH).

The speed limit on the palisades is just like the no parking within 15 feet of the fire hydrants in Brooklyn. They are here to make money, & not for your safety.
