the shiur is kash nisraf on the other side. You also need to make sure it heats evenly or the sink can warp
the Mordechai, seems to say the Shiur is of kashnisraf and yad soledes are the same and the Bais hosed brings it down like that. The price megadim makes some what of a compromise and says that if your using libun kal bemakom irui, the yad soledes mitzad hasheini is sufficient but if your using libun kal bemakom hagalah then you need Kash nisraf. (All the kashrus agencies use R' Moshe's Shiur of yad soledes for libun kal) when I kasher pots and steam sinks/ tables with libun kal then I get to a temperature of about 400° F, which in my experience is definitely Kash nisraf mitzad hasheini. But for tables, sinks, etc. which only became Asur through irui, the consensus of all the poskim I asked is to be soimech on the pri megadim (like I said earlier, all the kashrus agencies use R'Moshe's Shiur of yad soledes mitzad hasheini far all libun kal with a direct flame.)
