[HELP!] Where should I go for Pesach?
« on: March 30, 2017, 01:08:03 PM »
I know it's late, but the DDMS redesign took longer than expected and I had no time to research/plan.

Ideally I'd like to go to a place where I can join a public seder for first days and travel around the rest of the time.

Looking for:
Warm Weather
Beach
Cheap Locale
Cheap flights (below 6 hours) from ODS/KBP or longer flights that would be doable in lie-flat J with up to $1600 worth of points.

Places i've considered but fell off the table due to poor weather forecasted
Greece
Cyprus
Tunisia
Spain
Croatia
Kazakhstan (along with most of the other 'stans)
Tanzania
Namibia

Places i've already done
Dominican Republic - Pesach 2015
Nicaragua - Pesach 2016
Morocco - Pesach 2014
Nepal - Pesach 2013
Egypt & Israel - Pesach 2012
Russia - Pesach 2002
Turkey - Sukkot 2014
Colombia & Ecuador - Sukkot 2016
Bali - Sukkot 2015
Moldova & Ukraine - Sukkot 2014

My first choice for pesach 2017 was Vietnam, but the flights are expensive (but I'm willing to pay more for a convenient J award).

Yalla people, help me get a vacation (and if you like the DDMS Beta, then you know I deserve it)

I thought I was last minute when I booked to Israel last week.
Cant really help you but hope you find something that fits what you are looking for. Based on what I have seen of the beta you definitely deserve it

HKT/USM?
One of the first I tried, expensive. Unless you can recommend a worthwhile award route from Europe?

PNH itself is rather boring but the village where the guy you know is going to seems to be a happening place.

CPT?
I'd love to, but can't find cheap tickets.

With KLM & AF (FB/Skyteam), ZA, ET & TK (*A), QR & BA (1W), and EK or EY you couldn't find anything using miles/points (possibly connecting in JNB)?

I didn't look into availability, but if you get yourself to TLV (maybe using FB on PS) there are some great mileage chart values from there to CPT.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Also TK J from KBP/ODS to CPT doesn't sound outrageously expensive.
