Hello, my Israeli passport expired and I plan on flying to Israel this summer. So I need to acquire a new one. I printed out the application for a new passport, completed it, and figured I'd rather mail it in than spend a few hours going to the Consulate in NYC and back. So I was wondering if any of you ever sent in a passport application via mail. It does mention on the application and online that mailing it is an option, but is very vague on how to actually do so. How much did you pay? What payment method did you use? Where do you mail it to, Consulate in NYC? Did you encounter any problems with the mailing process? I tried calling the consulate with these questions but they won't answer the phone. Any help or experiences with the process would be appreciated.
