For that price I would go to a cvs store and for the minimum fee buy these DB Cards and pull out through the bank..(Deffinetly worth it for a spending threashold!)

Just wondering if there's something I might be missing that would make the trip worthwhile (like if I could be sure to get a cashier that would allow me to buy several thousand worth of these, and while their at it, won't check ID and let me use DW's cards also  ).

I would not drive 2 hours for this. Some of them won't even allow credit in ny area. unless you already know which one works then it could be worth it.

I bought the $200 fixed cards this morning. The cashier this morning rang up 20 of the cards for me (10 using Ink+ and 10 using Ink Cash) individually. He knows me from prior MS trips. Let's just say the Wife and I will be enjoying a nice bottle of wine this week!

Calling in orders? Why would they have to call?

Office Max. They say that when buying GC (totaling) over $200 they need to call in to get a 5 digit auth #. the phone # is actually on a little note taped onto the bottom of their computer screen.
