Though we did see some leaks on this a while back we're seeing more with the nearing release date.

I know we don't have too many HTC fans around here but it sounds like a nice device.  Looking forward to seeing it.

It's a fantastic device. It's the cost and glass build that kept me away from it personally. And lack of micro sd card slot which I happen to be a fan of. But yes, it's probably the best device out there as a whole.

The software is a huge part of the phone.

You think Google wrote the software exclusively? I doubt it. I'm assuming HT wrote the middle layers most definitely.

Seriously?         I wouldn't think so AT ALL. But I don't know enough about these things.

I doubt Google wrote the low level firmware stuff, but maybe.

HTC built the phone but it was according to exact specifications from Google, I doubt they had any influence on the design.
As for the software, HTC had no part in it at all. Its 100% Google through and through.
I used to care about sd card slots, but i got the 128gb version and i have unlimited storage on google photos so im covered

The card slot was by no means a deal breaker for me. I would have gotten a 128GB and been ok with it. Though I don't like google photos and would not use it.   If the device was cheaper I would be rocking it right now probably.

Still, I recommend it to plenty of people depending on what they are looking for.

Google photos is not my favorite either, i'm just using it to backup my photos in original resolution.
Im currently using the HTC gallery and a different gallery that i sideloaded.

Lol. It's a very cool phone. Technically I'm still not allowed to divulge anything about this specific phone. Anyways, the prototype I have is not final hardware.

I'm looking to buy it for myself as soon as I'm able to.
