Elal changed flight time

I have an el al flight from tlv to jfk at 12:15 am later this week. I paid extra for that flight because it would land early in the morning. Today i got an email that the flight was pushed off to 5 am.

There are other el al flights leaving 1230 and 1245, but they seem to be booked online.

1) Would there be a way switch to one of the other early flights for free (if there is indeed space)

2) if i cannot get onto any of those flights, would i be able to get compensated for the extra money I paid for a flight that would arrive early in the am?

Also, i booked it through aa, do I contact them, or elal (or just show up at the airport oblivious to the change)

I've had this and got switched to a DL flight.
