Lol. Was waiting for that. This is obviously not caused by me. BTW, just to clarify, he asked me where I saw that Amex was not rebating the 50% back right away anymore, I told him DanDeals, The Points Guy, etc. So I never sent him to this specific thread, or even the forums. And again, there was and isn't anything in this thread that shouldn't be seen by anyone at Amex. Although, there are definitely mentions of things that they shouldn't see in the forums.

Again, this is not to justify anything, just saying that in this case, no damage done (by myself, at least).  Keep on roasting, though, so other people will learn and be careful in the future.

I should have been clearer in the original post, but once I started getting roasted, I didn't want to sound like I was being defensive and all. And, BTW, I don't even know if he actually searched Dansdeals and The Points Guy to confirm that there are reports of people waiting 6-10 weeks..

Now that it's taking much longer for the 50% rebate, what happens if I need to legitimately cancel a booking within 24 hours, before the rebate posts? I end up essentially redeeming the MR for 1 cent each?
