Current banks in the system (transfers are instant):

Bank of America
Capital One 360 (P2P)
Chase (QuickPay)
First Bank
Frost Bank
TD Bank
US Bank
Wells Fargo (SurePay)

You have to sign up with each bank in order to receive or send money in that bank account.
You need to use a different email address for each bank account used.
You can also send and receive payments with a clearXchange account from any other bank that's not listed above.

Ah, well that explains that. Either way, it isn't instant.
Correct and made that clear in a prior post.

My local FI (whom I abuse for debit card reasons) charges for push ACH.

It's an OH based bank. Frankly I don't think too many banks monitor debit returns that closely, but if anyone can find their limits I'm sure it's you.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Correct and made that clear in a prior post.

Hence my assertion that nothing like what the service implied in the OP link exists in the us ATM.

OK, I thought it might be a churn play. CU's seem to work great for debit returns.

You mean like churning checking signup bonuses?

I was thinking more along the lines of rewards (points/miles/cash back).

Why would you have to churn for that? Are those debit offers typically only an intro?

Suntrust had a debit card that earned miles on debit purchases. Some came up with a way to churn (or any word you prefer) this over and over.

I don't think I ever used it for PIN purchases.

Which would explain what the "excitement" is all about even if there's no way to make money off of this...

Ok I get why some might be excited over this. When I asked the question I didn't know instant transfers was such a big thing to some.

Free and instant transfers would be extremely helpful to me.

So it's finally taking off, and looks like everyone will be forced to switch.

Quote
To keep using Chase QuickPaySM, you must take action

Chase QuickPay is about to get even better, because we are joining clearXchange, a multi-bank payment network in the United States. This means it will be easier to pay a friend back for dinner - even if they don't bank with Chase.

This person-to-person payment network was created to give you a faster, easier and more convenient way to exchange payments with customers at other participating banks like FirstBank, Bank of America and Wells Fargo.

What changes will you need to make?

As a part of this change, your email address or mobile phone number can be registered with only one bank's payment service, such as Chase QuickPay, within the clearXchange network.

We value your business and would like you to keep enjoying the convenience, simplicity and security of Chase QuickPay. To ensure that you can, please review your Chase QuickPay settings and remove the email address or mobile number from the payment service used by other banks in the clearXchange network.

What if you don't take action by March 22?

The email or mobile number that is also registered with the other bank's payment service will be deactivated from your Chase QuickPay profile.
Payments sent to that email address or mobile number will go through the other bank's payment service instead of Chase QuickPay.
Payments you send through Chase QuickPay will begin using the alternate email address or mobile number in your Chase QuickPay settings. If none exists, your Chase QuickPay payments scheduled to be processed after March 22 will be canceled.
How do you update your Chase QuickPay settings?

Click to go to your Chase QuickPay Email/Mobile Settings.
These updates cannot be made using a mobile device.
Will your other Chase services change?

No, these changes affect only your Chase QuickPay settings. You can rely on your other Chase services and products, including all Chase Online and Text Banking features, to stay the same.

March 22 must be a big day for changes. That was the date that someone posted that MOs will no longer be able to be gotten using gcs.

A friend sent me money from Wells Fargo Sure Pay and I received an email from Chase Qp to accept the money, which I did, but now I don't see the payment even pending in my transactions. Very weird.
Anyone with experience?
