We are way past the exploration & sketching stage, it seems JJ & Dan are looking to get the communities thoughts on the logos presented in the opening thread. Let's stay on topic....

Is there a way to use the D of the Logo/Favicon as the Ds of DansDeals? Kinda like DansDeals instead of D dansdeals? Or two variants of the D, kinda like CocaCola has the iconic C twice but a bit differently.

(The D font I used is for illustration purposes only, I mean whichever option is chosen from the two in the OP)

This would allow the favicon to have one D, but when DansDeals is spelled out you'd see it twice.

It was really on first glance. The more I see it, and especially when I went back and looked at the Dunkin logo, they're not similar at all. And now looking at #1 doesn't remind me anything else and stands out on its own. 

Are the color schemes finalized?

Do you need the TM superscript as part of the logo?  I don't see it on any other company so it stood out as odd.  Most will just say in the footer of the page "DansDeal is a registered trademark of the DansDeals Corporation" or whatever...

I would say that's because you aren't used to it as a logo yet. Once you get used to seeing the logo you wouldn't think that a logo and a name would be repetitive. OTOH if you have how you're saying a fancy looking D and the ansDeals people will want to know who's ansDeals...
