Hope u don't need to return it. Of you do it doesn't hurt. You can always argue it's a discount not a gift card if they decline it. I've had denials reversed with a simple letter explaining why they messed up.

yes, I actually did. 22. land, buildings and fixtures (including but not limited to, central air conditioner, built-in kitchen appliance and water heater);
Does that exclude an oven/stove also?

How awesome would it be if he was approved for his 3,000 oven despite it being am excluded built in appliance, except they said he needs to send it to them!
The point is, even if it's covered the value is so much more than the protection that ur taking a big risk.

Oh, my only experience with a CSR from the return protection was for an item I charged half on a GC but the Indian refunded me full price!!! So not to intelligent, definitely helpful.

The Indian did no such thing. The claims are handled by claims adjustors at amex assurance company. Some may be a it auto approved, but the front line csr dp not decide that.
Also, when I last called probably a year or more it wasn't Indians, so maybe the csr are Indians now...

I mean he put the wrong amount in, and since it was auto approved, they didn't match it up with the amount billed.
