$300 per item, 1K per card per year. So if you have an SPG card and a PRG card you'll only have 2k of total RP coverage, regardless of how many AUs you have on each card.

If you are unsure if an item qualifies for RP, then instead of asking for opinions here (slightly better than asking medical advice on facebook mind you), PUTPAC and ask the RP reps. You don't need to give your name or card info, just say you have an item or you will be buying an item and the store has a crappy return policy and want to make sure if there is a problem you can return it.

Amex can approve RP claims even after the card is closed/cancelled, though YMMV.

If you use it enough, it can be worth getting the $50/year premium return protection where they pay for return shipping and all your cards are covered for items up to $600.

Yeah, personally, though, it doesn't make sense for me. I've only used it twice in 5 or so years.

Also, I recall reading some article awhile back that essentially broke it down and concluded it wasn't worth it for most people.

A few days ago, I made a claim for some clothing that can't be returned to Century 21 (only a 30-day return policy).

Today I got an email saying that I need to return the stuff to them.

Ugh.
Me too, maybe they like Century 21s stuff.
I made my claim over the phone.
I have made a couple of claims recently over the phone, they just credited me.
It was different examiners.
I wonder if it has to do with what day of the week! and time!
The items that I received a credit immediately for were examined by examiner1, the most recent one that they requested for the item back was examined by: C0A2MORTON and afeter sending in receipts it was examined by: C0A2COOKMI
Maybe just a coincidence!

i have returned a $45 clothing purchase and a $50 shoe purchase. once on the amex premiere and once on amex
both times they just credited back the money without even asking for reciept
once was on the phone and once was online

Yes. They are much stricter than amex

thanks for pointing that out, I just checked the packing slip and noticed that they itemized the bundle, although they overpriced the TP at $202.94 it would still be a good deal if amex reimburses me the $40 for the useless bluetooth speakers
