Anyone know whether the new Norelco OneBlade is acceptable according to various halachic opinions?

I just replaced an older Norelco with a Remington. It's working fine, but I'd totally jump on this (down to $30 today from $35 for the first time) if I knew it was okay.

looks like it's not designed to shave close, but on the other hand, has a foil looking top which is problematic. anyone see one live to know if the foil is sharp like the Braun?

ETA: looks liek most of the reviews are from the giveaway folks.

true and true. With great respect to Rabbi Forcheimer, as far as I know it's a daas yochid. I believe this conversation was had on the forums a number of years ago. March of this year

Others agree. R Belsky does argue

Possibly Rabbi Heineman, and not across the board.
Rav Dovid Feinstein definitely does not approve of the Braun's.

Source? (just asking)
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

Go ask him. His policy is usually dependant on every particular shaver. He doesn't usually give a blanket heter for a specific model. But I guess since so many people were harassing him about the series 7, he gave a psak

Been awhile since anyone posted about shavers...

What would you guys recommend these days? (I haven't bought one in 10 years)

TIA

Thank you, but I'm looking for a shaver rather than trimmer and cordless not corded.

I did additional research and it seems like the Braun Series 9 and 7 are the top of the line.

Everyone should ask their local rabbi, but just to be helpful to others that are interested
This web site says, the only shavers halachic authorities are in agreement you can use out of the box are
Norelco shavers which say COMFORTCUT or CLOSECUT on the heads.
Are these the best shavers, no, that is the point, not to get that close that is called halachic shaving.
please follow link below for more detailed information.
