Bed bath and beyond. Best return policy. To save money use 20% off coupon by signing up for emails. And look around for discounted gift cards

Looking to buy a shaver. Price is not the issue. Ive gone through so many shavers. I shave almost every day so im looking top of the line. Any suggestions? Thx

Got the Panasonic ES8103S on Amazon about 2 months ago. There was a $20 coupon then so it came out to $60. So far very good shaver, sometimes use it dry sometimes wet. Sometimes misses a few hairs by the neck but almost always gets it on the second time.

First of all there is no posting.  I personally brought it in to get checked.  Second of all, we are talking about a Braun which doesn't have lift and cut.  Third of all, R heinemann of the Star K says that Lift and Cut is not the problem and you don't need to remove it.  The problem is when the blades are too sharp in which case they need to be dulled.  Don't just post chumras, learn the facts.
The problem with lift and cut is that that it pulls out the hair when it cuts (lift and cut, lit.) and dulling the blades will only cause more pulling out hair which is the issur of lo tashchis, so that's not the solution.

A lot of poskim say that foil shavers (Braun) are too close to the skin and are ossur.

Yes, and as I'm looking to buy a new shaver I figured to have look if maybe I could find some advice which is considered a good shaver... (not legabei kashrus)
As I read what some people wrote I felt the need to right what's wrong.

R Heinemann says that Lift and Cut does not actually lift and cut and therefore the only problem is how sharp.

I don't understand how sharpness makes a difference? The point is that the knife is not allowed to touch the skin, so if it doesn't touch what difference does it make how sharp it is?

I think he meant how sharp the foil is which does touch your skin. If the foil is sharp enough, by itself, to cut your hair then its as if your putting a blade to your skin...

Does anybody know the best price for the 790cc?  BBB stopped carrying it  officially although I called them up and they could still get it for me on their internal site. costs $250. Plus I could use a 20% coupon which will bring it down to $200 +about another 30 in tax. Any advice?

On the description of a braun 7 series shaver it says
Quote
ActiveLift
The world's only patented middle trimmer that actively lifts and cuts flat-lying hair

Is that the same lift-and-cut as the norelco? (that most rabbonim hold must be taken out)

no cuz lift and cut lifts up the hair from the root, cutting too close acc to some poskim, braun just picks up the hair thats flat and straightens it making it easier to cut.
