AA reducing pitch on 737 aircraft
« on: May 03, 2017, 04:54:41 PM »
AA is reducing the pitch in economy for their 737's down to 30", with three rows being only 29".

Here's the kicker, they are claiming that the 29" rows will not be part of Basic Economy fares.  Doesn't quite make sense why they wouldn't just make those the Basic Economy rows.

In theory, Basic Enon will be more likely to sit there because most other people will have the ability to choose seats in advance.

Only if AA.com points out the 29".
Typical people don't go to SG for advice.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Exactly.

They should have the metrics now to figure out how many BE seats are being sold on average and work it out.  Put the 29" seats in the very back by the lavatories and have at it.

Well looks like it's not happening in the end...
