How many times do you wear a suit before you send it to the cleaners?  Am curious to hear people's perspective...

What is your suit made out of?
Seems like more than you should.

Irrelevant. 3 times a year isn't much different than 3 times a week in regards to this. Shouldn't need every 3 times.

Obviously. But it ruins good quality suits.

Getting my suit cleaned 3-4 times a year will ruin it? I have one suit a good 10 years.

Don't know, never kept a suit that long, my waist size fluctuates more than a politicians moral meter. But it def will deplete it's quality more than not dry cleaning it.

You need to remember my suit use is basically weddings and funerals at this point. Does not get much wear.

With such little wear that shouldn't matter but dry clean is very bad for the fabric of a suit, they're basically scraping off a very fine later of fabric. I try not to dry clean my suits at all unless I got an oil based stain that won't come out with water.

Unless my suit smells, is noticeably wrinkled, or dirty, I don't bring it in to the cleaners.
Memories last forever, make them while you can.

Hate sending my suit to get cleaned all they do is a free shine.
The only time I will send it is when there's stains and dirt all over.

While your asking this question I would love to hear about those who send their shirts to the cleaners.. I do not, I hate having a starched shirt or even with out the starch can afford to have my shirts pressed with yellow stains everywhere and having the cuffs all black unlike when I wash my own shirts there fresh and clean..

(yes there's going to be comments about my free shine,i know you pay $7 for that. ;))
